Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Clinical Questions

Doctor-reviewed answers to the most common inquiries from prospective patients.

How soon should a couple seek a fertility consultation?
We recommend scheduling an evaluation if you have been trying to conceive for 12 months (for women under 35) or after 6 months (for women aged 35 or older). However, if you have known irregular periods, history of pelvic surgery, or known male factor parameters, seeking an assessment earlier is always welcomed.
Are daily stimulation injections painful to administer?
Stimulation injections use micro-fine subcutaneous needles (identical to diabetic insulin pens) placed just beneath the skin of the abdomen or thigh. Most patients describe a mild momentary pinch rather than pain. Our nursing team provides one-on-one hands-on injection training so you feel fully confident at home.
How do you choose between fresh and frozen embryo transfers?
Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) has become our preferred approach for the majority of patients. Allowing the ovaries to calm down following stimulation lets the uterine lining develop naturally in a dedicated subsequent cycle, significantly improving implantation rates and preventing ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS).
Can I continue working and driving during an IVF cycle?
Yes! Most patients maintain their normal professional and personal routines throughout ovarian stimulation. We only advise taking the day of egg retrieval off for recovery under light sedation, and taking it easy for 24 hours following embryo transfer before resuming non-strenuous daily work.
What tests will be performed during our first clinic visit?
During your discovery consultation, our specialist reviews your complete medical history, conducts a gentle baseline pelvic ultrasound (including antral follicle count), and schedules baseline hormone panels (AMH, TSH, Prolactin) alongside a comprehensive computerized semen analysis for your partner.
